Milwaukee AHEC partners with the Wisconsin Diabetes Prevention and Control Program to provide diabetes education to Milwaukee's businesses and minority populations.
For Businesses: The DiabetesAtWork.org Program promotes an online diabetes resource kit. This tool helps businesses assess the impact of diabetes in their workplace, and enables them to help employees manage their diabetes and take steps to reduce the risk for diabetes-related complications such as heart disease.
For Minority Populations: Milwaukee AHEC's outreach to minority youth and adults focuses on the awareness of the causes and prevention of type 2 diabetes.

The Wisconsin Arthritis Program

Milwaukee AHEC, in partnership with The Wisconsin Arthritis Program, offers programs that increase awareness of arthritis, its impact, the importance of early diagnosis and self-management, and effective prevention techniques.
