Carol graduated from the Milwaukee Area Health Education Center's Community Health Worker (CHW) Training Program in 2011. In 2014, she received a certification as a CHW Supervisor through Milwaukee AHEC. Carol was the first supervisor to graduate from the AHEC CHW Supervisor program to supervise a team of 10 CHWs.  

 

Carol retired from her position as a Supervisor in 2020 and now volunteers with AmeriCorps/MCHS (Marshfield Clinic Health System) as a Pipeline Program Coordinator through Milwaukee AHEC. She supports and mentors high school students who are interested in exploring health careers. Carol also assists the NAF Health Sciences teachers at four MPS High Schools.

In her leisure time Carol enjoys reading and playing board games with her 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
